USPS has announced its long awaited plan for consolidating AMP’s (Area Mail Processing Facility) as a part of their cost savings efforts.
The AMP’s in Norfolk, Roanoke, and Lynchburg will close. The Richmond (Sandston) AMP will become one of Virginia’s main AMP’s and, therefore, a major bulk mail facility.

Because B&B is located in Richmond, we are excited about being strategically located near one of the state’s only AMP’s.
This means that your mail projects will get in the mail stream fast. Combine that with the fact that we are a one stop shop for printing AND mailing, it means that when you choose B&B, your mail gets to your target audience faster.
When I took a recent tour of the massive (750,000 square feet!) facility, the Senior Plant Manger, Issac Cronkh revealed that many of these changes will not occur until 2014. For more information about the USPS consolidation of its facilities visit http://usps.com/ourfuturenetwork.
